Youth friendly organizations

Keep in mind this list is not comprehensive, and there may be a variety of minimum age requirements for various positions, so it’s always best to contact the specific site you’d like to volunteer directly but it’s a good place to start! Most organizations do not state the minimum age for volunteering, so if you find a place or opportunity that appeals to you, it’s best to call or email them to find out for certain. As well, many of these organizations will accept younger volunteers as long as they are with their parents (family volunteering). The key is to always ask first, before ruling out an organization in which you're interested in working!

About Goose Troop

Goose Troop is a website dedicated to volunteerism.  It's intended to provide assistance to anyone looking to volunteer (but doesn't quite know how to get started) and for those who want to learn more about how to best share their gift of time!  Why "Goose Troop?"  Because geese are known for working together to accomplish big feats, like migration! They never leave any goose alone, encourage each other, share leadership and have a strong sense of community.
